Anger & Art involved a workshop that delves into understanding and expressing anger in healthy ways. Led by youth engagement specialists Sam Osman and Mardi Daley from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), attendees learned key insights from different treatments. This workshop also featured a session in the art of kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. Attendees had the opportunity to physically express their feelings of anger by breaking ceramics and then thoughtfully piecing them back together. We also enjoyed delicious smoothies from Brasa Peruvian.
"It was so cool to learn more about the taboo topic of anger. I felt like it was a safe space and that my voice was being heard. I really enjoyed the structure of this event, and felt that it was engaging and informative. Will definitely be attending future events!” – [prefers to be anonymous]
